“Then they said, Come; Let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens….” Genesis 11:4
The story of the Tower of Babel begins with a foundational key for any successful endeavor—they all bought into a common vision. This vision unified and energized them. They began to believe that all things were possible to them simply because they all shared the same compelling passion for a common goal to be accomplished, and spoke the same language.
The Lord came down to view their project, noticed their unity around the vision, and declared “Now nothing they propose to do will be withheld from them.” (vs. 6)
In the same way, God has given us a compelling vision at New Life. It represents the better tomorrow that we all see in our mind’s eye today. It unifies us around a common purpose, and motivates us to take risks and walk by faith. In the end the vision will speak, and all of us will be much happier and fulfilled as a result—and God will be pleased.
Our Vision is simply stated in four statements:
1) We want every person to Encounter a living, loving, supernatural, miracle working Jesus—and to get to know him personally.
2) We want to Empower every person through their connection with a life giving church and a small group—enabling everyone to get past their past and to attach themselves to the glorious future God has for them.
3) We want every person to Enjoy Life by discovering their God given talents and abilities—enabling them to fulfill their unique calling and personal destiny.
4) We believe every person should Exist for Others. Our goal is to mobilize 100% of our congregants to serve joyfully in God’s Army—loving, giving, healing, and serving.
Even though our vision is simple—it is powerful. I humbly implore each of you to join with us to see a great move of God’s Spirit in these last days.
Remember, the best is yet to come!
