Two Challenges

“Never stop reciting these teachings. You must think about them night and day so that you will faithfully do everything written in them. Only then will you prosper and succeed,” Joshua 1:8.

I think we all want to have a successful life. As you read this Scripture, you’ll find that if you want to be successful and happy in life, study God’s Word. Don’t just read it— meditate on it and apply it.

If you turn to the book of Jude, which I assume is Paul McCartney’s favorite book of the Bible, Jude 1:20-21 says this: “But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.”

I do not have to remind you we live in a dark world. Is it the darkest of times? Is it the end times? I do not know, but the only thing that can change this world is God’s love. And as we pray in the Spirit we pray the perfect loving will of God. So I challenge you with a very old challenge: pray in the Spirit, and get in God’s Word.

If you think you do not have time, make time. Because the days are shorter than we know.
