The Cycle of Blessing, Part 2

“Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only," Philippians 4:15 NIV.

God desires that we grow in generosity- as we desire to see God’s Kingdom advance in the earth. That is only possible when we both give and receive! It’s not enough just to give, give, and give again without receiving a harvest.

Dave Williams writes, “Many Christians act as though they are superior because they give, expecting nothing in return. That’s not being superior. That’s being irresponsible, selfish and unbelieving."

Why would God attach a promise of an abundant return- every time He asks us to give generously- if He did not intend us to expect it? What farmer would labor to sow aggressively into the earth if he didn’t expect to get a harvest in return?

Not that we are greedy for personal gain or selfish ambition, but we are serious about supernaturally increasing our personal finances for Kingdom purposes!

In light of all this, here are “Five Action Steps” that anyone can take to make sure that they are participating fully in “God’s Giving and Receiving Cycle of Blessing!"

  1. Daily declare scripture over your seed and your harvest. (Deuteronomy 8:18, Mark 11:23,24)
  2. Expect God to fulfill His Word. (Isaiah 62:6,7)
  3. Remember setbacks are temporary. (2 Corinthians 4:17)
  4. Envision the harvest. (Ephesians 3:20 AMP)
  5. Don’t give up! (Galatians 6:9, Hebrews 6:12)

To hear a more detailed explanation of each of these steps, listen to my recent message by clicking here.  You will be greatly encouraged and empowered to receive your maximum harvest from the generous seeds you have sown!
