DAY 21 | 21 Day Fast | The Cycle of Blessing

Congratulations! This is the last day of our 21 Day Fast. Get ready for a season of miracles and blessings as you break your fast.

Today is Breakthrough Sunday at New Life! Everyone will be bringing their best gift for the Kingdom of God to help expand the church locally, and to start a new church plant in a new location. We look forward to the blessings of God upon our homes and families as we sacrifice to put God first in all that we do.

As we sow our finances into the Kingdom, we need to be reminded that it is God’s will that we receive a harvest off of our gifts. Not that we are greedy for selfish gain, but because we are ambitious to prosper to see God’s Kingdom expand in North Dakota— and around the nation and the world!

“Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only," Philippians 4:15 NIV.

Notice that Paul mentioned there are two sides to the “contribution equation.” If we just give, and give, and give, without ever receiving a harvest from our giving, we go broke. The same is true when we always look to receive— over and over again— without planting a crop or sowing seeds.

Both concepts are important. Both are necessary in order for us to increase more and more so we can give increasingly larger amounts over and over again for the purpose of world evangelism. We must give in faith— then we must receive an abundant harvest off of our giving so we can even be more generous next time. When this “cycle of blessing” is in place and working properly there is no limit to how much God can bless us.

Last Sunday, a gentleman excitedly explained to me how the Lord had impressed on his heart to sow a large offering in addition to his regular tithes. He obeyed the Lord and then was tempted to complain when he did not see a harvest right away. However, he enthusiastically declared, “God came through just like he said he would.”

Apparently he was obligated to pay $2,600 a month (as his portion after insurance) for an expensive medication that was absolutely necessary. He found a coupon that could help him defray some costs, but quickly discovered that he did not qualify for it. When he called his medical providers— to his surprise— they informed him that the coupon was already applied and that his co-pay for the remainder of the year is only $10 a month. In addition, the small co-pay included all his doctor bills, lab work, and everything else that is medically related throughout the entire year.

Needless to say, he was ecstatic with joy! I asked him if we wanted his sacrificial offering back. He said, “No way. I’d rather enjoy the blessings of God!”

This morning, January 28, 2018, I am preaching a special message at Beulah New Life on the “Cycle of Blessing." Included in this message I am presenting five steps on “How I learned to activate the promised harvest on my giving.” It will give you clear instruction on how to be a good receiver.

You can listen to it a few times by going to our website, or downloading our app (Search ND New Life Church). It is a free download, and you will be potentially blessed for an entire lifetime because of what the Holy Spirit reveals to you.

God will multiply the seeds you sow into His Kingdom! God Bless!

The Best is Yet to Come!
